There is a certain beauty about old movies that you just don’t get from the ones you see today. “Rio Bravo” is one of those old classic that you can’t help but love. It is an American Western movie from 1959, produced and directed by Howard Hawks. It starred actors like John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Walter Brennan, Angie Dickinson and Ward Bond. The movie has been said to carry deep cultural significance and has even been chosen to be preserved in the National Film Industry.

The following video shows one of the tracks from the movie. The film included three songs, as one of the cast was crooner Dean Martin. This song is called “My Rifle, my pony and me”. Martin’s voice adds so much to the song—no wonder the song is considered one of the best Western songs of all time!
